A snapshot of Communitas Clinics?
Communitas Clinics was established in 2007 by MD Christian Lyons in response to the then Practice Based Commissioning agenda. Dr Nilu Vajpeyi is responsible for the delivery of the company’s robust Clinical Governance structure. With her specialist interest in Dermatology, Communitas Clinics was ideally placed to apply for local Dermatology contracts. We were awarded our first Dermatology contract in Croydon in 2009.
This initial contract was delivered successfully and was soon followed by a contract to provide Intermediate Ear Nose and Throat services also in Croydon. Communitas Clinics has since added seven more intermediate community services to these contracts across London and South East. The latest service with Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest was implemented to assist Barts Health NHS Trust’s ENT department with their Covid-19 recovery plans. This new service brings the total population covered by Communitas Clinics to almost four million people.
